ROLE OVERVIEW
The Head of Social Media will be responsible for shaping and delivering social media strategy for Pagefield’s clients and for helping to build a best-in-class social media offering within the agency.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, write brilliantly, understand audiences and platforms, and deliver high-quality social content that supports broader communications, campaigning and reputation objectives.
You will work closely with account teams, partners, creative, digital and paid specialists to develop social strategies, content plans, channel approaches and campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and emerging platforms. You will also play a key role in new business, helping Pagefield identify opportunities, shape proposals and demonstrate the value of social media within integrated communications programmes.
The right person will be both a strategist and a doer: confident in advising senior clients, yet equally comfortable drafting posts, building content calendars, briefing creative assets, reviewing performance data and making practical recommendations.
Alongside client work, you’ll contribute to business development, mentor junior colleagues and play an active role in Pagefield’s collaborative culture. If you’re an experienced public affairs consultant who enjoys leading major accounts, developing integrated campaigns and working with ambitious clients on some of the UK’s most high-profile issues, we’d love to hear from you.
Pagefield’s company values are key to the success of our employees. Collaboratively familial, restlessly entrepreneurial, strategically connected, creatively impactful and intelligently challenging. You will need to embody each of these values, seeking out ways to showcase these within your role, whether that be through investing time into networking, enquiring about additional training to be able to contribute more to creative and strategic conversations or offering mentoring opportunities to other colleagues.

- Write clear, compelling and accurate social copy in a range of tones and formats.
- Brief designers, videographers and content creators effectively, ensuring outputs are aligned with client objectives and platform best practice.

- Help develop Pagefield’s social media products, services and credentials.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts through stronger social media support.
